We’ve all had experience painting ceramics at school, but let’s be honest, most of our designs were probably anything but memorable. But now that winter is approaching, it’s the perfect time to get creative again. Hand Painting isn’t just for the professionals though, which is why we have gathered some of the cutest handpainted porcelain to take some inspiration from this winter!
Vases come in all shapes and sizes with varying designs. We had to include these hand painted vases on the list because of their warm colour scheme that is perfectly suited for the winter season! The designs are intricate, featuring floral patterns and Japanese motifs that would complement any traditional style kitchen.
Looking for something more subtle, but still seeking a floral effect? Why not practise your skills on some porcelain mugs! We absolutely adore this lavender design which would no doubt encourage a sense of calmness on a chilly winter’s day!

Plates are a good piece of crockery to get started on as they allow you to work with a larger and flatter surface area. Animal or scenic designs can work just as well as a traditional floral design, so experiment with both!
Salt and Pepper Shakers:
These shakers are another way to add a personalised touch to your kitchen, or if you’re feeling generous, you can make a gift out of them! Experiment with a blue and white colour scheme for a classic design, or some simpler animated faces for a comic effect:
